Huron Valley Schools

Welcome to Huron Valley Schools

Providing excellence in learning for all students to achieve their best is our core mission in Huron Valley Schools.  From the dedicated team fostering our preschool classes, to differentiated instruction and talent development programs at all grade levels, to our award winning arts and athletic programs, to community education offerings for students ranging in age from infant to 99 years-old, the Huron Valley Schools believes in inspiring and building futures…one student at a time.

The Huron Valley School District covers 107 square miles encompassing the townships of Commerce, Highland, Milford, White Lake and the Village of Milford.  The District ranks 6th out of 28 Oakland County Districts in the number of students it serves.  We employ approximately 600 teachers and over 1,400 staff.

As of February 2010, over 10,130 students call one of the Huron Valley Schools home!

Strong Community / Parent Support

Parents and community are partners in education in Huron Valley Schools.

Nearly 100% of elementary parents and over three quarters of middle school parents attend parent/teacher conferences.  We have an education foundation supported by our community that provides grant funds for innovative projects for our students.  Community members came together to create the District’s third Strategic Plan which provides the vision for our future.

We encourage our community and parents to participate in the Huron Valley Schools through groups such as our District Parent Council, parent teacher organizations, Curriculum & Instruction Council, Superintendent & Parent Dialogues, and Strategic Planning Committee.
